After completing school, I took a gap year to tour Europe but I now have to make a final decision regarding my studies. Finance major is my one option and what my father is pushing for since he is an investment banker; I am just no convinced yet. I have thought about law school as well but my parents have always just assumed that I will follow my father’s example, so it will be somewhat difficult to change their minds. My life is my life so I should probably make this decision myself but I am really stuck between lawyer versus finance major and the more I ask other people’s opinions the more confused I become. My grandmother said that I should just apply for both and see what happens and then maybe visit the colleges offering the courses to get the feel of the campus and then decide. Since she is older and wiser than my parents are, I think that is exactly what I will do.
