A Possible Pet Pig for My Daughter

07 Feb

Optical Sensor; Exclusive Software: Rechargeable Batteries with stand ...I would love looking into teacup piggies for sale for my daughter. She is quite fond of animals, and she is constantly seeking someone new to bring into the family. My daughter is a responsible young woman. I like the way that she actually takes care of her pets. It really does make a difference. I think that we have enough space to welcome a new pig into our home. I read that they are just as intelligent as dogs, if not more so. They can be trained, and they just love to cuddle and play as well. I am quite intrigued about these pigs myself. A friend said that her daughter wants one too, so we will see if we can even have piggy play dates. I, too, love animals very much, but my busy schedule does not allow me to keep them as well as my daughter can. I am a bit envious!

When Billy Gets Himself Loose

26 Jan

I have a little poodle that has an affinity for getting loose. I think that he just likes to explore; we have a great time together, but he’s such an adventurous little pup, and he really likes going for walks. So I think that he feels that since we go out once in a while, he should be allowed to go out and explore whenever he likes. He’s already dug himself out underneath the fence at various points in time, and while we encourage his play and his exercise, I just don’t like when he gets out. I’m thinking about affixing a pet tracker to him so that we could know exactly where he goes when he runs away. I don’t think that it would harm him in any capacity, so there are no negative aspects to this type of move. I’d just like to be able to keep him in my sight.

Bruce the Border Collie Cross

11 Jan

Dogs need attention too! Bruce is my neighbor’s dog and he is a royal pain in the butt! He is a Beagle Border Collie cross and barks all day and all night and I can not sleep! The couple has only just moved to the area and their stupid dog is making a lot of people upset and if I have my way that dog will be out on its ear in the very near future!

Bruce is kind of cute if I must admit and although I do not like him barking all the time, I have snuck over to the neighbor’s yard to pet him a few times. The husband and wife work all the time and do not appear interested in spending a lot of time with their dog so this might be why he barks all the time. Maybe I should approach the family and offer to take Bruce on some walks throughout the day to make his life a little more worth living!

Lanyards and Your Dog

09 Jan

People frequently choose to carry their keys on a lanyard. This is an extremely useful way of carrying them. However, did you know that you can use these same custom lanyards as a pet aid? Below are a few ways that you and your pet can reap additional benefits from this versatile device.

If you and the dog find yourself walking down a crowded street, you can use your lanyard as a traffic leash. Remember that lanyards are incredibly strong. By looping the cord through the dogs’ collar, you can have a short leash in a matter of seconds. This leash is perfect for navigating through crowds and around poles.

This same lanyard can be used to hold and carry clean-up bags, and dog treats. You can even carry your training devices in a wallet pouch. Your clicker, whistle and drag line can all be kept together in this wallet, which is attached to the lanyard.

The great thing about this technique is the fact that all of these items, the keys the rewards, etc. Can all be carried on the same lanyard. Furthermore, it can double as your traffic leash.

Your Pets Health

08 Oct

If you have had a dog as pet, then you will most certainly have had the problem of mites on the dog. This is a very common problem for the dogs. This can be solved if the dog is bathed every single day of his life. But that will not be possible all the time. This might lead to the growth of the mite on the body of the dog to a proportion that is totally unacceptable to us. You will find that the dog has got the habit of scratching himself at all times. You will find that he is very difficult to manage because of this. These dog mites can make the life a living hell for the dog that won’t be able to sleep properly nor rest properly. The result is that you will have a very irritated pet that is always in a bad mood and eventually he will become very gloomy as well.

Want Farm Fresh Eggs? Build a Chicken Coop

22 Sep

Have you ever had a farm fresh egg? I am not talking about factory farms that feed their chickens antibiotics, by-products, and who knows what else. The flavor of a fresh egg is so much better than grocery store bought eggs. The same is true for chicken. You can buy organic eggs and chicken but the price is prohibitive. Especially since all groceries are more expensive these days and the prices are still going up. Have you thought about raising your own chickens? When you raise your own food you know exactly what is going into it. It is much easier to raise backyard chickens than you may think. The first thing you need to do is build a chicken coop. Most of the plans online have over 50 different types of coops and information on how to care for your chickens too. If you have ever had a cat or a dog, you can raise chickens!

The Ultimate Boxer Dog Training Tips

09 Aug

You need to think about when you are going to start training your new puppy as soon as you bring them home for the first time, Ideally, if you are going to have any success with your training it is best to hold off until your puppy is eight weeks or older. Your puppy is unlikely to have an attention span long enough to be able to focus on you if you start any earlier than this. It is often recommended that you start with the basic obedience commands first as this is one of the easiest things to do and these include come when called, sit, stay and fetch. Border Collies and Kelpies are just one of the breeds that may require more stimulation and you may find you have to progress through to more intermediate tricks to keep them entertained. To find out more about training your dog properly go to Boxer Training Tips now.

I Tried a Bag of Blue Buffalo and My Dogs Health is Amazing

15 Jun

I was walking inside a petco and found some blue buffalo coupons which made me want to try this high quality food. So I bought a bag and wanted to see if he would like it. And my dog went crazy for the food. So I mixed the dog food for a week and never went back to the old food. Because my other food was a average food but blue buffalo gave my dog super nutrition. The results were night and day difference after about three weeks. My dogs skin and coat was beautiful and there was alot less shedding. Also every single vitamin my dog needed was in the food. So it was a no brainer when it came to this dog food. Yeah it is more expensive but my dog is worth it. It will keep my dog healthy and beautiful. That is not to say my dog won’t get dirty in the mud but you get the point.

Accessories Your Tree

16 May

There are also accessories that you can add to the cat tree to give your cat even more fun. Some of the accessories might include toys that hang from one of the tree branches. Cats love to play with things that sway back and forth. Things that might entertain your cat may include a fake ball of string that hangs from the tree. The cat will love to paw at the string. This will give the cat even more mental activity and will help keep its mind sharp. Other toys that you might add to the tree include toy mice or other toy animals that you can place on the tree. Your cat will be very interested in the toy and wonder what it is doing there. If your cat gets bored with that then you might decide to get another cat to have a permanent playmate instead of waiting for opportunities to play with your friend’s cats. If your do decide to get another cat, you might need another type of tree to add for your cat’s enjoyment.

Protecting Your Dog from Mice

09 May

If you have a small dog like a bichon frise, you may want to put in a little measure of protecting them from pests most specially mouse and mice.

Pest control mice elimination requires that you take measures progressively. In case there are very large rodent populations, you may want to begin by knocking them down with high quality baits. This will also prevent rapid population growth. Baits include pellets, blocks and seeds. Experts advise home owners to combine baits since preferences differ from one rodent population to another. It is advisable not to disturb the main mice habitats because they might flee.

Our pets and dogs are already part of the family and doing everything we can to protect them is a must. Small dogs like these bichons need special attention as they are more likely susceptible in getting attacked by small animals and pests.

Learn more on how to protect them today. Search the internet for more information.

Finding the Best Flea Bomb

29 Apr

When you have a flea infestation you can’t be thinking of your budget because at the end of the day you will be just shooting yourself in the foot. There are cheaper sprays that you can buy, but you will probably have to buy lots of them to deal with the problem effectively and this will cost you a lot more than a flea bomb.

Besides buying the best flea bomb with proper ingredients present to kill the fleas for good you have to know how to maintain your house. It usually comes down to a house that is not clean enough which is the reason why there are fleas jumping around on the carpets and furniture. A good vacuum on a regular basis and flea shampoo will do you no harm. Give your curtains and furniture regular dustings as well. This will prevent them coming back in the future.

Oatmeal Shampoos Prevent Dog Skin Problems

24 Apr

My girlfriend was so worried because her dog lost its appetite. She wanted her pet to be healthy and happy but it did not show the way she wanted. There were times her dog felt itchy. The parasites lived and infected its once healthy skin. My girlfriend overlooked the proper care his pet needed. She confessed to me that she was really using cheap shampoos when bathing her puppy. We both searched the net about the qualities of shampoos she applied to his pet and we found out that aside from harmful chemicals, those shampoos only offer few nutrients which necessary to improve her pet’s skin and coat. Well, she learned her lesson and later applied oatmeal shampoos to her dog. The pet became healthier. She observed no more signs of itching for his pet and his liveliness when fed was observable. Now, she does not even have to worry about dog skin problems. Thanks for the magic of oatmeal shampoos.

Heartworm Medications for Dogs

18 Mar

There is no doubt that Heartgard Plus chewables are by far the most popular of all the heartworm medications that are currently available. We will find that not only are they quite cheap to buy but they are about the easiest way to medicate pets against heartworms.

They come in a lozenge shape that is soft and chewy, much like the treats we buy for our Dogs, They taste of beef so they are a real taste experience for the Dogs and they munch them up in seconds flat.

We will find that if we struggle to get our pets to take pills then Heartgard chewables are the perfect solution. The Dogs love them and owenrs are then definite that their pets are never going to develop heartworms that can be a real danger to Dogs if allowed to form and go untreated. Simply give once a month all year to keep them in perfect health.

Cheap K9 Advantix

14 Mar

You’ve noticed your dog scratching a lot more recently than he used to. Now you are starting to wonder why. With forty percent of dogs being allergic to flea bites, this may be a good place to start.

Fleas use their saliva when they bite their prey to prevent coagulation and make the blood flow more easily. This saliva has 15 different antigens and is what most dogs are allergic to. Each one of the antigens can cause an allergic reaction.

Fleas are typically the worst during the summer and fall. They are able to make it through the other months in an immature stage waiting for a warm and time to become an adult and start drinking blood.

So how do you know if your dog has fleas? One common way of knowing is to watch where your dog is scratching. A flea allergy will typically result in a dog scratching around the base of their tail. There may even be some hair loss in that area.

It is very important to do a thorough inspection of your pet. You can look for both fleas and flea dirt. Flea dirt is really poop. It is small, black and will generally turn red when dissolved in water. This is because flea dirt is dried blood, probably from your pet.

Once you know your dog has fleas, I would recommend checking out generic K9 Advantix or Frontline soon to get your dog some help.

Reef Master Test Kit

17 Feb

If you’re one of the thousands of people who has made having an oceanic reef in your home, then you’ll want to make sure you pick up a Reef Master Test Kit. It’s built to test virtually every element of the water in your system. It includes the gear you need for essential tests like pH, phosphates, calcium, and nitrates. It’s easy to use the testers and the four color chip testing comparators make it easy to tell what the results of your test are. When I start thinking about all of the equipment I use in my marine tanks these days, it makes me think back to my first fish tank. I was eight or nine years old when I got a four gallon acrylic tank. We didn’t know anything about testing the water or much beyond the fact that you put in water and fish and fed them food once in a while. I went through a lot of fish in those early days learning how to make my tank a place where fish would like to live which I guess doesn’t come as much of a surprise.

I Adopted the Barking Beast-What Should I Do?

01 Feb

Everybody is very excited and the house is filled with the laughter and happiness when we adopt new dog. Who in the world could assume that just few days from now we might have to deal with the excessive dog barking, upset neighbors and of course long sleepless nights. And that’s when we might remember reading in the papers (or was it somewhere online) about some citronella dog collar which is said to be the safest, most humane and most effective bark collar.

While there is no doubt that citronella dog collar is great tool to reduce or eliminate unwanted dog barking it is important that we first figure out why our dog barks. Especially if this is adopted dog we should make sure that there are no underlying medical reasons for the excessive barking. It is good idea to visit our local vet office to get this out of the way.

Our vet will give us some advice about what to do and if citronella collar is the best choice for us. Sometimes providing a lot of exercise to our dog will work the wonders and in many cases it alone will reduce dog barking. If not, than citronella dog collar is great, safe and humane way to eliminate excessive dog barking and restore the peace.
